Forex Trading: An Excellent Way of Augmenting Your Income

Author: Joseph Ducat

Do you want to get started on an exciting and potentially profitable opportunity? I’m talking about getting into the world of Forex trading. Many people just like you have invested a little money in Forex trading and seen their income jump spectacularly. But that doesn’t happen overnight, so you should get started quickly if you want to benefit from Forex trading as soon as possible.

Forex trading refers to the trading of world currencies on the foreign exchange. Forex trading is speculative, and therefore carries some risks. But you can minimize your risks and maximize your profits by being up-to-date on market information and having good tools of analysis. The basic type of trade you will do in Forex is a currency trade, which means that you buy and sell a world currency with the goal of making a profit.

To get in on Forex trading, you will need to find yourself a broker to handle your transactions. There are many Forex brokers that are offering their services online for your greater convenience. You should check out their websites as they often have a lot of handy tools and information, such as software demos where you can practice Forex trading without risking any actual money, and helpful guides for the instruction of novice traders. Not all of these tools and guides are free, however. Most likely, you will have to pay a membership fee to be able to get full access to them. However, before you sign up, you should check to be sure that the online broker is registered as a Futures Commission Merchant with the CFTC, or Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

If you think you are ready to open a Forex account, all you need to do is go through the simple process of filling out a form and providing some form of personal identification. There is generally a margin agreement included on the form that allows the broker to intervene with any trade they consider too risky. There are different types of accounts made available by brokers to suit various Forex investors. A standard account can be opened with a minimum investment of $1000 or $2500, depending on the brokerage.

For a novice investor, or anyone intending to invest less than $10,000 in Forex, it is advisable to invest in a mini Forex account. The minimum investment for a mini account can be $100, $250, or $500 depending on the brokerage. They have the advantage of providing you with more flexibility in investing, as you will be able to trade on more lots with less of an investment.

J. Ducat hopes you find these tips on online Forex trading useful. You can get more answers to your questions about Forex trading at http://www.faso06.com.

6 reasons why FOREX good for Passive Income

Author: MK Chin

6 reasons why the FOREX Market is an outstanding one to help you generate passive income:

1) All you really need is an internet connection via a computer or a mobile phone!

2) It has high volatility and liquidity! With a daily trading amount of 2 trillion US dollars, it is without doubt the most liquid market on the planet. It also means you can enter or exit the market at practically any condition!

3) It is a market that opens 24 hours a day, 5 days a week from Monday morning to Saturday morning. That enables you to trade when you're staying up to catch the late night movie! 4) Because of its sheer volume, the FOREX Market cannot be controlled by a single person, institution or country

5) It has tremendous leverage for your dollars. Every $1,000 you trade gives you a leverage of 100 times. That means when you trade with $1,000, $100,000 is actually trading for you!

6) Make money whether the currencies are weakening or strengthening. This is because you can buy a currency and sell it later at a higher price, or sell it first and buy it later at a lower price.

Online Forex Trading - 4 Simple Tips to Make Money Fast

Author: Kelly Price

Here are some simple tips to help you make money fast in online FOREX trading that are simple to do and will help you build wealth quickly.

So what do we mean by make money fast?

Here we are looking at tools that will help you make triple digit gains annually, which would put you up with the top traders and in the elite 5% who win consistently in online FOREX Trading.

We are assuming here that you know the basics of FOREX Trading so here are your tips:

1. Be realistic

We all want to be millionaires overnight but be realistic.

If you aim for gains consistently of 100% per annum your up there with the best traders in the world.

Don’t be in too much of a hurry; if you are then you will wipe yourself out.

2. Accepting Risk

Most novice traders who trade FOREX try to restrict risk so much that they actually give themselves no chance of winning.

Their stops are to close and GUARANTEE they will lose.

Online FOREX Trading is all about taking calculated risks.

This means if you want to make money fast you should risk up to 10% of your equity per trade.

Many people will tell you to risk 2% but if you’re a small trader trading $10,000 that’s just $200!

This will simply guarantee you’re stopped out most of the time.

3. Running profits

It’s a fact that most traders simply cannot run profits.

Many traders are fantastic at picking market direction but lose because they take profits to early!

This is a major problem.

A trader gets a profit and gets excited, the bigger the profit becomes the more he is tempted to take it before it gets way – eventually, the trade is snatched and banked.

The trader makes a thousand dollars and then sees it run onto to make 15 – 20,000 or more and he’s not in.

If you want to make money do not move stops to lock in profit quickly.

Make sure your stop is far enough back to take into account normal market volatility - You need to take short term swings in equity against you and focus on the longer term.

3. Trading Method

There are many different methods to make money in online FOREX Trading and if you are looking for a method that works well – then a breakout method looking for long term trends is ideal.

The advantage of using a breakout method is you have relatively low risk and great rewards.

4. Patience

If you are trading then you can’t hurry the markets.

They will give you opportunities but they can’t be forced and you can go weeks or months without seeing any.

Learn to be patient and only trade when your system tells you to.

To make money fast you must keep risk low but you must also run profits for all they are worth to emerge a long term winner.

Online Trading Forex: Which Of These 3 Mistakes Do You Make?

Author: Michael A. Jones

Professional traders are full of tips and guidelines that can greatly increase profitability during your online trading Forex sessions.

Here are 3 advice notes I've picked up which greatly reduce the number of my losing trades and increase the number and size of profitable trades:

Mistake #1

Setting the stop at round numbers.

Solution: When setting your stop, avoid numbers that end in zero.

This is not due to superstition! It's just that round numbers, especially with certain currency pairs like EUR/USD and GBP/USD, represent key psychological levels in the minds of traders and institutions.

Price will often pull back to a number that ends in zero and go no further. If your stop is set at that level you run the risk of getting stopped out of your trade only to see price resume the direction you had anticipated anyway. How frustrating!

So always make sure your stop is set at a number other than one that ends in a zero, and reduce the number of times you get taken out.

Mistake #2

Setting stops according to a pre-determined amount.

Solution: Calculate your stop according to strategic levels, not an arbitrary amount.

Many traders set stops somewhere between 20-30 pips as that is about as much as their equity will allow.

Some new traders tend to do simple arithmetic to establish their stop level: entry price plus/minus 25 pips.

However, it makes much more sense to look at a previous support/resistance level, trendline, or yesterday's high or low, and see if a 20-30 pip stop puts you near one of those levels.

If it does, then calculate more precisely. It makes no sense to set a 20 pip stop if a major support/resistance line is 25 pips away from your entry level. Price is likely to go right back to that level to test it, and stop out your trade, before bouncing.

Keep your eyes open for such key levels and set well-thought out stops which help you avoid getting taken out unnecessarily on trades where your appraisal of price direction was right all along.

Mistake #3

Setting target limits right on key levels.

Solution: Trim your target by 2 or 3 pips.

Equally frustrating is to see price ALMOST reach your target, fall short by just 2 or 3 pips, and then within seconds retrace by 10 to 15 pips.

One moment you see a nice profit of 25 pips on your trading platform, the next moment it is showing 15. Now you are left in a quandary. Anxiety sets in as you wonder whether price will go back to retest the previous level. Do you stay in and hope or just take the 10 or 15 pips left on the table?

How much better to just trim 2 or 3 pips off your target. Price then has a much higher chance of getting there.

What a nice feeling to see price spike to your target limit, take out your trade with a 20-30 pip profit, and then pull back. No anxiety, no recriminations, no "if only I had . . ." scenarios.

Noting these 3 mistakes and their solutions will make your online trading Forex sessions much less exhausting mentally, and much more profitable.

Online Forex Trading - 6 Common Errors That Will See You Lose

Author: Sacha Tarkovsky

If you are looking at online forex trading, in this article you will find some common errors that will see you lose.

Many of these are accepted ways to make a profit and you will see many writers give convincing stories that they will help you make money, but they won’t.

Make these errors and you will lose, so here they are:

1. You can day trade and make money

Yawn. How many times do you see day trading touted as a way to make money?

All the time.

Fact is it does not work and cannot work, as it’s based on logic that is simply not correct.

Any experienced trader knows that short term volatility is random, within daily and hourly time frames.

If you can’t judge where volatility will go in short time frames you can’t get an edge or the odds in your favour.

So, if volatility is random how you can get the odds in your favour and make money?

You can’t!

Don’t believe me? Then consider this:

There are millions of traders in the market each day trading trillions of dollars and the huge majority are not looking at daily ranges.

Try and find a day trader with a real time track record of profit ( let me know when you do) as most are selling systems and not dumb enough to trade themselves.

Good story, but a great way to lose your money – period.

2. You can use moving averages as a timing indicator

Really? This is a real gem.

How can you time entry with a lagging indicator?

Think I will stick to momentum indicators.

3. Brokers can make you lose

This is a story put around mostly by day traders who want to justify why they get stopped out.

Brokers hunt stops!

No they don’t – consider this:

The only participant with the potential to move a market and pick off stops by themselves is a central bank and even they don’t achieve this every time.

A broker trying to pick stops in a market that trades trillions of dollars a day is laughable.

Don’t fall for this story.

4. Currency trading is risky

A statement of the obvious!

To a degree this is of course true, but so to is life.

Crossing the road is risky, so do is driving a car, but there are two aspects to risk.

The market you are trading + your approach = Risk

You can make online forex trading as risky as you want, or you can control it by prudent money management and a sound trading method.

5. Paper trading and dummy accounts are useful

For what?

Big deal you can trade without money and place orders ( which is easy) but this is absolutley no use when you come to trade with real money.

It then becomes an emotional experience and the heat is on unlike in paper trading and you will feel very different.

Don't think that because you can paper trade successfully you will make money in the market.

5. You need to work at trading and gain experience

Why? Once you have a method thats it.

You just need to place your orders each day and thats it.

Experience does not make you a better trader.

Trading is not something that has to be constantly worked at once you have your method your all set.

There are many more misconceptions about being a forex trader but the above ones are very common and if you believe them you will lose.

Online Forex Trading - Treading a Cautious Step

Author: Alevoor Rajagopal

Online Forex trading is has gained popularity for reasons like, it is available round the clock and five days a week. You can do this business from home. It is fast becoming a big opportunity for earning money relatively safely. Online currency trading can be profitable depending on how you play your cards. Yes, I mean there are potentials for loosing your hard earned money overnight, if you are not alert. Online Forex trading simply means buying and selling currency pairs such as US Dollar versus the Japanese Yen.

Word of Caution

A word of caution here may not be out of place. Online forex trading is being promoted as a get rich quick scheme that can be mastered overnight. Contrarily, however, most traders lose out. So before taking the dip, you must carefully study what online Forex trading is. Making money through online forex trading is pretty challenging but not impossible. So gather as much information regarding it before you take the plunge.

Primarily online forex trading is the purchase of a currency from a country by paying for it the currency of another country. However, the key lesson for online forex trading is to identify when to take profits and at the same time the placing of your stop loss orders. Secondly, the myths such as day trading works will only suck you to big black holes but nowhere. Plainly speaking it is nothing special than direct access trading through brokers.

What Is Margin Trade

Margin is the amount used for a trade. Brokers let you trade upto 4 times your collateral deposit you made with them. This allows you to take positions much larger than your collateral which wouldn't have been possible otherwise. When you make a profit, you get the margin which is the difference between selling amount and the sum of brokerage, taxes and the money the broker had extended to you. This obviously increases your buying power. Now, this margin/leverage you can enjoy depends on your account equity and other factors like the longevity of your account. Remember many speculative trades are made using margin trading.

In the worst case, you can't lose more than your margin which is your sole investment as it is is also known as minimum security in the market parlance. How ever, expect to draw up a margin agreement with the broker when you take the plunge.

When you are new or unsure don't risk by day trading. The popularity of online forex trading is drawing all types of investors no matter whether they are pure play speculators or seasoned players which is the root of many market fluctuations. However, an advantage of online forex trading is the absence of bulls and bears. But here is the bottom line: online forex trading is a very popular way to online income today.

Alevoor Rajagopal, MBA, advises on issues that concern small businesses. Fine tuning common but pesky issues to improve efficiency and ROI is what he specializes and writes at online earning. Find his eBay business coaching at eBay Made Easy.

Trading Currency Through Online Forex Brokers

Author: Jay Moncliff

Access to foreign exchange (forex), the most extensive market on the planet, is generally through an intermediary known as a forex broker. Similar to a stock broker, these agents can also provide advice on forex trading strategies. This advice to clients often extends to technical analysis and research approaches designed to improve client forex trading performance.

Financial institutions are generally the most influential in the forex market through high-volume, large-value forex currency transactions. Historically, banks enjoyed monopolistic access to the forex markets, but through the Internet, any forex speculator can also enjoy 24 hour access to the market via a forex broker.

Secure web connections today allow many forex traders to work from home, where ready access to news and other technical advice informs decisions on what forex positions to take. Similar moves are being made by stock brokers, who are also moving out of banks and other traditional institutions.

Your needs in the market will influence your choice of forex broker. Online forex brokerage firms, known as houses, provide those new to the forex market with detailed research, advice and simulators to learn how to use their forex trading tools. The experienced online forex trader is catered to by other broking houses, with in-depth advice, but less focus on forex trading instruction based on the assumption that you are familiar with the forex market. To make an informed choice, it is advisable to trial several differing online forex broking houses and their trading tools to find the best fit for your needs.

Forex Trading Styles - Which Forex Style is Best For You?

Author: John Francis

There are two main Forex trading styles in use by most Forex traders. Naturally there are hundreds of variations within each style.

Each Forex trading style has differences, so let's take a look at them in more depth.

Technical Forex trading.

This is based on one of two tools – charts or trading models.

Charting Forex tools use charts or graphs to display past currency movements. This allows an "at a glance" view of the direction the market is taking at any given stage. If you are skilled enough to use charts to work out when the market is turning then you should be able to make money on the Forex market. All the things you can do with graphs in programs such as Excel can be used with your charting. There are software programs out there which will import your data and display the resultant charts. As always with software programs, the results you get are only as good as the programmer and the data. When you change to a new software program you should trade for a while "on paper" until you are confident with the results you are getting. If you decide to use an online Forex software service then you can get deeper into the use of Quantitative Trading Models. If you are using day trading as your main Forex method then you will need to use an online service to make sure that your data is constantly up to date.

Fundamental Forex trading

This is based on the analysis of key economic data.

This data includes reports from various governments, news coverage of current events, interest rate fluctuations, balance of trade figures for the countries involved, inflation rates, retail and trade price indices, future orders, stock levels, company expectations and employment statistics. Other economic data can also affect the view that a fundamentalist Forex trader takes. This often includes changes in political leadership, military skirmishes, terrorist attacks as well as natural disasters.

Ultimately, your choice of trading style will depend on your own temperament and preferences. It will also be affected by whether you are a day trader or are taking a longer term view.

Forex Advice - The Best Trading Advice Is

Author: Sacha Tarkovsky

Your own. Traders who think they can spend $100 on an e-book and buy success from someone else are really mistaken.

The fact is most of the information you need is available free on the net and most sold advice is by writers NOT traders.

Let’s look at how to get the best advice for free.

First things first

If you really want to buy an e-book or system from a vendor check their traders and have a REALTIME track record of success.

The fact is most don’t and rely on the greed and ignorance of people buying their system

If you find, practice and use the free advice on the net you can become a successful trader. The fact you have done it on your own will give you confidence in your method and the discipline to trade it through losing periods

Getting started

You should use a technical based system.

Use charts there are plenty free on the net.

You can read why it works and about all the formations you need to spot profitable opportunities

Get a free chart service.

A good one is futuresource.com. It has all the charts and indicators you will need.

You then need to perfect your method. Use charts to spot the formations and some indicators.

You only need a few to combine with charting (and we have outlined one free in our other articles) The best indicators to use in our view are:

Bollinger bands, stochastics, moving averages and RSI.

You can then test out your skills.

The best methods are simple so make sure yours is to.

The more complicated a system is the more likely it is to break in the brutal world of trading.

Simple systems are easy to understand so you will have confidence if the logic is soundly based and this will give you discipline.

Forget short term or day trading, that’s a mugs game and you will have the odds stacked against you.

Look to use a longer term trading system and base it on a breakout methodology.

Now does that sound too complicated?

Trading is essentially simple and you can do it on your own for free by doing some research the net.

Most e-books and systems sold I have seen never have a real time track record and the systems have no chance of working.

Most of the sold advice is either from writers or traders who have never made money, so why not sell advice?

If you really must buy advice (and we can’t stress this enough) only buy forex advice where you get a real time track record.

If they have not made money out of their system why would you want to trust them?

Some good paid advice

If you want to get some good paid advice visit a bookstore and get some books by traders who have walked the walk and made money.

There not expensive and are packed with valuable forex advice for you to build on your basic trading plan.

Good choices are:

Market Wizards and The New Market Wizards – Jack Schwager

This book interviews a diverse cross selection of traders who have made huge profits and is a very inspiring read

Trader Vic – Victor Sperandeo

Love this book! Packed with insight into how to construct and implement a trading plan.

Covers all the topics you need to know to get your plan off the ground.

Jake Bernstein – The Investors Quotient

Goes in depth to look at human psychology and he has written a lot in this area and its all worth a read

Those three books will cost you around $50.00 or less and are all you need to get started.

The above may sound simple and it is.

If you think about it the only person who can give you success is yourself. So for forex trading advice think about relying on yourself.

Forex Trading - Day Trading, Which Timeframe Is Best?

Author: Nathan Pennington

You're looking for that exact answer. You want me to say, "it's the 10 minute timeframe," but it's not that easy. It depends on what kind of a system you are trading. After you've defined that, the right timeframe becomes obvious.

For example, if your trading a system that doesn't seem to care about the price (yes, such systems exist), very fast timeframes would be appropriate (somewhere in the range of 3 to 5 minute bars). Realize that the faster the timeframe the more chaotic. In fact, there is hardly any order on the really fast bars. It's true chaos.

So, if you were trading a grid trading system or a hedging system, then a really fast timeframe is okay. You don't really care where the price is going. You're not going to be doing any technical analysis on it.

However, if you're trading any kind of system that uses any kind of technical analysis, you definitely want to use a slower timeframe. You need to give the system something to sink its teeth into. The 30 minute chart seems to be a good choice.

Depending on the system, you may need to go larger or smaller. For example, you can use Fibonacci retracements on a 15 minute chart.

If someone were to come up to me and put a gun to my head and ask what is the best timeframe for day trading, I'd have to say that I'd want a 5 minute chart and a 30 minute chart open side-by-side. (Then I'd disarm him and give him the business ;-)

Do you want to learn more about how I trade? I have just completed my brand new guide, "Forex Trading - What Finally Worked For Me".

Forex Trading Can Be Another Major Source of Income For The Internet Marketer

Author: Peter Lim

The Internet Marketer is always trying to increase his profitability. He can do this in a variety of ways:

1. Increase price of his products
2. Decrease the cost of doing business
3. Increase the number of his products based on current best selling product lines
4. Eliminate out-of-date inventory such as ebooks that are saturated in the market
5. Find new products or additional sources of income

and many other methods.

If you are an internet marketer, have you ever been asked to look into Forex Trading as another serious line of additional income?

While there are "purist" internet marketers who will not sway from the actual mainstay of marketing online, forex trading can be a lucrative alternative or additional way to make some additional income for many.

Forex trading requires nothing more in terms of infrastructure for the internet marketer as his computer system used for online marketing can be used as the trading station as most trading platforms are now web based.

Capital for trading is no longer an issue as there are forex brokers who allow trading to commence with as little as $25, which is paid from your credit card.

Since there are no commissions to be paid in forex trading, and currency trading is executed 24 hours around the globe across 8 major currencies and many of its derivative currency pairs, there is practically no constraint to the internet marketer to conduct any forex trading, where ever there is an internet connection.

Considering that many currency pairs display recurrent patterns that are easily identified, what is required for the internet marketer is to spend time to learn how to trade these patterns before actually taking the plunge.

What are the dangers to the internet marketer seeking to get involved in forex trading?

Firstly, the forex market can be ruthless if you do not know how to trade or if you start trading before you actually spent time to master trading techniques. Bad trades will quickly deplete your capital. So it is needful to learn from a mentor or a professional trader who is willing to show you the winning techniques. Secondly, you may be a good professional or very successful in some other profession or career, and think the experience will hold you in good stead and that you can very quickly be just as successful- Not so, in forex trading! For example, there are many wonderful doctors and engineers and accountants who are leaders in their fields of expertise who do badly in trading. Why is this so?

While forex trading can be tracked by chart patterns, price movements are always forecasts and are never embossed in stone. It is good for the financial health of the trader to be able to accept that it is not possible to force the market to give him profits, by holding on tightly to forecasts or technical analysis on the direction of any trade. The internet marketer must move into the field of forex trading with a flexible mind that forecasts and analysis are tools and instruments to prognosticate the movements of currencies, and nothing more. My maxim as a trader is simply this: Every trade is a bad trade unless it gives you a good profit!

Do your due diligence before you start off in forex trading. Be prepared to learn about how forex trading is carried out. Find a mentor to cut down the time required to learn proven trading techniques. Get familiar with your trading techniques, paper trade them and when you start to consistently get profits than losses, that is the time to think of actual trading.

Is Forex Trading For You

Author: default@goarticles.com (John Savage)

This article which you are about to read has been written because I am aware of a growing interest in Forex Trading and I hope that what you read will prove helpful, interesting and informative.

We all want a better life. No one can say that he or she is fully conten with the way things are. Sure, some may declare to the world that they are happy enough with the way their lives are going. However, if you give those people a chance at a better life, they will take that chance. The truth is that being in a state of discontent is a part of being human.

Discontentment is not such a bad thing. If everyone were always contented, our civilization would stop evolving. Without discontentment, we would not have come up with the ideas and inventions that make our lives easier today.

There are many manifestations of humanitys desire to better itself. There is the student, studying hard to have a shot at a bright future. There is the employee, working hard to get a promotion. There is the businessman, investing time and money on a dream. There is the Forex system trader, taking a chance on increasing his investment by going with a gut feeling.

Of course, Forex system trading involves so much more than gut feeling. If you expect to succeed at Forex system trading, you are going to have to rely on so much more than your instinct.

First of all, you need information. You cannot make decisions without knowing what your decision might give way to. In obtaining relevant information, you reduce your chances of failure.

Next to information gathering is the analysis. What use is information if you do not know what to do with it? When you have gathered enough information, you need to understand how these pieces fit together in order to show you the big picture.

When you see the big picture, then you can understand the full impact of your decision.

Now before you read any further let me just say that I really do hope that you are finding this helpful, because that is why I have written this in order to supply you with a little more information. So, having said that, lets continue.

After these is the task of actually implementing your decision. What good is a plan when it remains confined in your brain? In order to accomplish this, you will need to trust your decision and put your money where your mouth is. This can be scary for beginners of Forex system trading as they begin to realize that their money is on the line. They can make or lose their fortune with just one word and that is a very frightening situation to be put in.

The Forex system trading market, however, rarely allows people to make such detailed decisions. You see, Forex system trading involves the fastest market in the whole world. This is partially the cause of its popularity. By engaging in Forex system trading market, you are in for a hell of an exciting time.

However, the speed by which the market operates is also the cause for the downfall of many traders. Some cannot come with the speed and end up penniless after making many bad decisions (or worse, not making any decisions at all). What leads people to participate in such a gamble is hope. In Forex system trading, you never know what is going to happen next. You can be up in the clouds one second and plummeting to your death the next. If you wish to play it safe, you can minimize your investment and earn a little income. However, as investors usually say, safe money rarely makes profit.

Before you engage in forex system trading, you have to understand that you need to come prepared. You need to talk to people and learn what to expect. Information, in itself, will help you succeed in this venture.

And that said, let me conclude by adding that there is a lot of information out there on Forex Trading, in your local bookstore, library, and on the internet, so happy researching.

A Mini-Guide To The Managed Forex Account

Author: A managed forex account is forex made easy. It is especially tailored for those investors who do not

A managed forex account is forex made easy. It is especially tailored for those investors who do not have the time or desire to monitor their own forex account. Many different companies offer these accounts to their clients. A managed forex account is often chosen by individuals who wish to take advantage of the high liquidity and high profitability of the forex market without taking the time to "learn" forex trading.

The world of forex trading is highly complicated and success requires education and familiarity with terms, charts, signals and indicators. With a managed forex account, the investor can rely on someone who is already familiar with and successful in the forex world.

One type of managed forex account utilizes robots to trade the investors account. To the investor, no human hand means that there will be no emotional trades. These automated systems are designed by experienced traders and take into account all the indicators and statistics of any good forex trading system to signal the robot to trade. This is really forex made easy.

Another type of managed forex account attempts to take the difficulty out of self-trading by allowing the investor to employ a professional trader to make the trades. These accounts remain solely in the individual investor's name, meaning that money can be withdrawn at any time, unlike conventional stock trading. In other words, a managed forex account is not merely combining one investor's money with numerous other investors' money to obtain results. These managed forex accounts are actively traded by individuals for individuals. Forex made easy for individuals.

Perhaps you are looking for forex, but you wish to trade your account yourself, for fun or as a hobby. Without a managed account, you must follow all the rules of successful forex trading. Forex education is absolutely necessary. There is no way to trade a forex account successfully without education because this is a complex financial undertaking. In fact, professional advice is highly recommended. Try a "demo" account, before you invest real money. Software, seminars, daily newsletters and much more is available for the new trader. If you are not looking for a managed forex account, you are not really looking for forex made easy. You are looking for the tools needed to maximize your chances of success.

Forex trading is a risky business. According to statistics, only 5-10% of new traders make it through their first six months with their initial investment intact. Even less make a profit. A managed forex account is a way to reduce the risk and increase the profit.

Understanding Forex - #4 - Money Management.

Author: This is a series of articles about The Foreign Exchange Market. You will learn here what Forex is ,

This is a series of articles about The Foreign Exchange Market. You will learn here what Forex is , how it works and how profitable it can be. The whole series contain the following articles . . .

1. What is Forex

2. Technical analysis

3. Fundamental analysis

4. Money management

5. Compound interest

Money Management.

This is one of the most important aspects of a good trading system. Even if your market forecasts are accurate, you may still not be profitable in the long run unless you implement proper money management techniques.

Money management refers to how you manage your trading capital. It has to do with how much money you invest on each trade. Also, how much do you expect to make on each trade compared to how much you are risking. Furthermore, you can also use different kinds of orders that allow you to manage your trades automatically like stop loss, limit order and trailing stop.

In my opinion the two more important aspects of money management are position sizing and expectancy. Position sizing refers to the size of your positions. You should not risk more than 1% - 2% per trade.

Expectancy refers to how much do you expect to make vs how much you are willing to lose. The expectancy should be always positive. For example, if you enter a position and you expect to realize a 50 pips profit while you are willing to lose only 15 pips, that's positive expectancy.

The example above means that you can be wrong three times in a row and still be profitable the fourth time. A method to implement positive expectancy on your trading strategies is by using trailing stops. I will explain this now and the other orders that I mentioned above.

Let's start with a stop loss order. This one helps you automatically close a losing position and prevent it from decreasing your total trading capital. Why you need stop orders? Many things could go against you and make you lose big time.

The platform you are treading on could freeze. The place/computer you are trading from could go off power. Market news could drive the price of currencies mad quickly. Do you get the point? Many people use stop loss orders just as an "insurance" against these events taking place.

Something else a stop loss order could be good for is to establish an automatic trading system. Some trading systems do not require you to be in front of your computer all day. You can set them on autopilot and let the market/platform do its thing. If the market moves against you, the stop loss will be triggered and your losing position will be cancelled automatically.

The second order mentioned above is the limit order. This one is good to automatically take a profit once the price of the currency pair has moved to a desired level. You can use a limit order for the same purpose you use a stop loss order. It is good to automate your trading in general. Once the target price is reached, the limit order will be triggered canceling your winning position and preventing it from turning into a losing position.

Now, something very important about trading "cut your loses short, let your winners run." Most traders do this the other way around. That's why they lose in the long run.

Some of the easiest ways you can implement this technique is by using a trailing stop. These kinds of orders let you get positive expectancy, which is one of the most important aspects about money management as mentioned above.

A trailing stop is like a limit order and a stop order at the same time. For example, let's say that you enter a position and the market moves in your favor. Then notice what happens.

With a trailing stop you have a chance that you don't have with a limit order. If the market keeps moving in the direction you expected, the trailing stop order will move with the market. This way there is no limit to how much profits you can get. On the other hand if after moving in your favor the trend retraces a certain percentage, the trailing stop will be triggered canceling the position and preventing it from turning into a losing trade.

These are common techniques used in most successful trading systems. You can learn other important aspects about Forex like technical analysis and fundamental analysis from other articles on this series.

How to Trade Forex The Safe Way

Author: Peter Flemming

In order to reduce losses in trading in the forex market, you will need the necessary and adequate amount of risk management systems in place. Staying afloat is essential in staying in the forex game. It will be unlikely that you will recover from a loss of money that you cannot afford to lose. A good trader will know how to reduce losses quickly and also ride profitable positions higher. Systems such as stop losses and profit caps are needed to keep losses manageable.

Stop losses are so essential to make a successful trade that most brokers will not allow you to trade without a stop-loss in place. A stop-loss is a system that automatically closes out a position when the bid or offer price reaches the given level. For example if your long (you have bought) a currency, your stop-loss will be placed below the current market price and will be activated if the price falls past this threshold. Stop losses are beneficial to traders because it is positive knowledge that you’re protected from a downside risk. This is useful for novice traders because they can become ‘emotionally trapped’ in a falling trade.

Guaranteed stop-losses are offered by some brokers and will provide extra protection for traders. Rare intervals where the market gaps – decreasing without trading at each consecutive rate – and traders who have no acquired guaranteed stop-losses are only assured of getting the next available price. Factors such as central bank or government intervention, political, war or natural crises may cause falls that expose traders without guaranteed stop-losses to substantial losses. Stop-losses can be moved higher or lower to suit the trader. By reducing the stop-loss (placing it closer to the purchase price) you’ll limit the potential size of your loss and by increasing it (placing it further away from the purchase price) you will increase your exposure.

Profit caps are opposite to stop-loss because you place a limit on the profits that you have made. It is beneficial for traders who leave trades unattended over night; a profit cap will be triggered when the market moves through a given threshold and will secure the profit made for the trader.

Automatic triggers are needed to limit the risk but money management is as important. This means making the decision on how much money you can afford to lose on a trade and how much you are able to invest. It is also recommended that you invest no more than 10% of your available funds in any single trade. These practices and systems will certainly help you in protecting your funds from losses. Mental discipline is also needed to become a successful trader.

I hope this is enough to inform you about what you need to trade it safe!

The Roulette Wheel Of Forex—improving Your Odds

Author: Kent Douglas

There are two factors that really determine whether an investor will risk capital or not: the potential for profit and the ability to liquidate the position should things start to head south. Real estate is a very stable investment for one simple reason: they aren’t making any more of it. In time, all property value rises making it a fairly safe investment vehicle but it takes a long time to liquidate—especially if the market suddenly goes south!

The currencies market, on the other hand, is an entirely different beast. The Forex, also called the Foreign Exchange market, is the largest and most fluid in the world. Nearly 2 trillion dollars are exchanged 24 hours a day between Sunday afternoon and Friday. It is very fluid making it attractive for investors because there always seems to be someone willing to buy or sell a position. Investors are also attracted to the Forex because it is very volatile which provides great potential for profit. There are five basic options available to a retail Forex trader, including:

· Spot transactions
· Forwards and futures
· Options
· Spread betting
· Contracts for difference

The vast majority of Forex traders stick with spot transactions. These straightforward transactions simply involve the exchange of one currency for another. To choose currency pairs and determine entry and exit points, most traders opt to either trade based on news releases and fundamental analysis—or to study performance charts and track price movements using technical analysis.

Fundamental analysis typically is used in scalping or day trading. Forex scalpers try to anticipate price movements in the short-term and generally do not hold a position for more than a day or two. In some cases, positions may be bought and sold in a matter of hours. However, this is considered an especially dangerous trading strategy because the heavily leveraged positions tend to reach stop/loss points quickly and losses can mount quickly.

Technical analysis is essentially aimed at identifying and capitalizing upon trends. The moving average is a favored technical indicator used to guide investment decisions. To identify trends, technical investors look at the historical data of currency rate prices. The moving average helps smooth out the erratic nature of lines causes by the daily highs and lows and is refreshed daily with the most recent day being added and the oldest entry dropped. The larger the sample (in other words, a 10-day moving average is smaller than a 50-day moving average pricing chart), the smoother the lines will be on the charts.

Simple and exponential moving averages can also be used to further identify trends. Resistance and support levels are sometimes then identified as entry and exit points in some Forex technical trading strategies. The simple truth is that you have to find the strategy that best suits your trading style. Then, to improve your odds:

· Avoid over-trading—Forex traders can make big profits but can lose equally big due to highly leveraged accounts and a very volatile market. Over trading increases the odds that you will lose money—period.
· Trust charts—once you have your strategy and set your exit points, let it ride. Study the charts at the end of the day—and stick to your strategy.
· Patience is a virtue
· Back test to continually test your investment strategy

No investment strategy can predict price fluctuations with 100% accuracy. However, the best strategies for Forex tend to involve technical analysis, using stop/loss points with every order, and trusting the charts and strategy while avoiding the temptation to over trade. You may incur a loss once in awhile but the steps listed above will definitely put the odds of success and profit in your favor.

Forex Trading System, What Is It?

Author: Kenneth Langlet

Forex is a foreign exchange system that allows you to buy in and purchase foreign money or foreign stocks. The forex trading system is fast becoming popular with the use of the Internet. The Internet allows you to find out more about companies, anywhere in the world, so you are making an informed decision about what you are purchasing and what you are investing your money in. Most forex trading systems do allow you to make purchases, withdraws, and inquiries online where you can use your money to build additional wealth for your family.

A forex trading system will involve you investing your money, in to a company that is overseas. As you learn more about the companies that are in other countries you will learn about what new processes and programs are available. As you learn about the forex trading systems, you will also learn about how you can double and triple your investments in a very small amount of time. Some forex trading systems will require a small investment such as five dollars, while other forex trading systems are going to require larger up front payments such as five hundred dollars. Every forex trading system is a little different, and most often will have their own terms for how long your investment must remain in place.

How long will your forex trading system investment have to remain invested? Read the fine print of the company where you are considering doing investments. One company may require forty eight hour forex trading systems investments while others companies will require a thirty day turn around time while investing money in their forex trading system. Reading all the information provided to you is going to give you the best inside information about what can happen with your money and how much you can invest, as well as how long you are required to invest your money in any forex trading system.

A forex trading system is going to allow you to purchase stocks, companies, and invest in other countries. While you may live anywhere in the world, the company you are involved with in the forex trading system could be anywhere in the world. In addition, the company where you ultimately are investing your money could be anywhere in the world. You could invest in a company in the US, in Japan, in China, in Africa, in Germany or in Russia, and so on. Any country anywhere can be a recipient of your forex trading system investment. You don’t have to live in a country to be involved in their trade or to make money from that company; those are the highlights of using a forex trading system, to enhance your personal wealth and your personal preferences while investing.

Forex Trading: Margin Usage and Introduction to Hedging

Author: An Article by Cynthia Macy

A good rule of thumb for either a mini-account or standard forex account, is to limit your margin usage for each trade to 5% - 10% of your usable margin.

As an example, if your usable margin is $5000, to trade safely, limit your margin usage for each trade to a maximum of $250. This means trading only 1 full lot for each trade. This is assuming that you are trading in a CMS Universal account with 400:1 margin. Your use of margin is increased with a smaller ratio, as most other brokerages only offer a smaller ratio, normally 200:1 or even 100:1.

As your account grows and your usable margin grows, you can increase your margin usage and trade bigger mini or full lot sizes. If you lose money and your account shrinks, drop your margin usage back down to smaller sizes. You need to learn to keep your eye on your usable margin, especially if you've suffered some losses.

Protect your usable Margin by not having more than 2 open hedged or unhedged position at any one time. Your usable margin & equity will get eaten up by un-hedged open positions that go bad in the wrong direction...this is a really good reason why you want to use stops, and if you hedge, hedge tightly.

IMPORTANT: Don't just keep putting on positions because you think it's a good opportunity. First sell a position and book some usable margin before you put on another position.

NOTE: Hedging does not use up more margin! Use it to protect your equity & usable margin, esp. in an emergency situation!

If you break the hedging rules, and your positions go against you and you aren't properly hedged with stop losses, you'll quickly see your usable margin degrade. If it degrades enough so that your usable margin goes into the negative, you'll get a margin call. This means that the operators will automatically start selling some of your lots in your oldest losing positions in order to beef up your usable margin. This makes your unrealized loss become a realized loss...and the money is gone from your account.

If you lose too much useable margin, they won't even let you trade in your account, the message they'll give you when you try to put on a new trade is, 'Account in Untradeable Condition'.

If this happens, you might have an open position that needs to be hedged immediately or you might need to sell an old position. Or you might need to deposit more money into your account. Then you can start trading smaller lots to win back some usable margin.

You can lose your entire account balance if you're not careful. One other good thing about forex trading is that you will never lose more money than is in your account, you won't have to sell your house if you get a margin call! Stick to the rules above and this won't happen to you. You'll make more money than you thought possible and without the stress of loss.

10 Good Reasons why YOU should jump into Trading FOREX

Author: An Article by Humaira Aslam

Foreign Exchange Market is a market where traders buy and sell currencies with the hope of making a profit when the values of the currencies change in their favor. People are making vast amounts of money from Forex trading. The Forex Market has a big potential for everyone, ranging from large corporate firms to ordinary, everyday people like you and me.

It is a very exciting trade with a huge money-making potential. Just imagine yourself sitting comfortably in your pajamas at your computer... you turn on the internet and make a few quick transactions and by the time that you get up to get a cup of coffee, you are several hundred dollars rich! Would you like that? I would!! I can hear you say, "Wait a minute!! This sounds just like another one of those confusing markets like stocks, options or traditional futures, so what makes this market any different?"

Aaah! Good question! So, in answer to your question, here are 10 good (if not great) reasons to enter the Forex Trade:

    1. First and foremost, Forex trading allows for small investments. You do not have to be able to invest thousands of dollars to get started with this trade. You can start trading Forex with as little as $300 to $350 and could be well on your way to earning more than that on your first day. 2. The Forex markets are always open! You are able to trade anytime and from anywhere in the world. No waiting for the stock exchange to open. The market is ongoing, with generally only minor breaks on the weekends.

    3. The funds that you invest are liquid; you can cash them anytime you want. No waiting for days to get your stocks converted into hard cash.

    4. The value of the Forex Trading market is COLOSSAL: it is 30 times larger than all of the US equity markets combined. It is the largest market in the world with daily reported volume of 1.5 to 2.0 trillion dollars. This massive value makes it a lucrative and desirable trade to invest in.

    5. It is a highly stable trade and offers greater strength over other markets. Countries and people are ALWAYS going to need currency. Although the value of different currencies goes up and down, the fluctuations are not as dramatic as stock prices and generally follow a predictable trend.

    6. You do not have to worry about commissions, exchange fees nor any hidden charges when you trade Forex. Forex brokers make only a small percentage of the bid and there are very respectable and free brokers available as well. Is that not wonderful for you?

    7. You make profits no matter which way the currency is going. You will not worry about a falling currency value if you know what to do with it and make good gains.

    8. Forex is a very transparent market. Unlike equity markets, where analysts have an unfair advantage over the layman because of their insider knowledge, the relevant information for Forex is equally available to every one through international news. Therefore, all Forex traders are in a position to make pertinent decisions according to the current market situations.

    9. Forex market is extremely quick! It takes not more than 1 to 2 seconds to complete your transactions because it is all done electronically, online and in Real Time.

    10. The final good news is that you do not need any formal education, licensing, diploma or degree to trade Forex. All you need is the know-how of how it works, trading strategies and some tips and techniques and you can be on your way to earn big profits.

Forex trading online may be the fastest path to financial freedom and an end to all your financial worries. It truly is an excellent, if not THE best home business opportunity for ordinary people.
You owe it to yourself to give it a try!!!
    Prosperity and happiness to all!

Want to Trade FOREX? Then Ask Yourself This Simple Question

    Author: Kelly Price

    What's your edge?

If you want to win at FOREX trading you must have an edge remember this fact:

Around 95% of traders lose – so if you don’t know what your edge is you will join them.

Let’s look at the basis of having an edge and what you need to win.

FOREX Trading is HARD – and anyone who says it’s easy, is lying.

You need an edge that allows you to win while the vast bulk of traders lose, it really is that simple.

The basis of what you need to do to achieve an edge is outlined below:

    1. You can’t buy success

If you think you can consult a guru or get anyone else to give you success you need to wake up and need to “smell the coffee”!

If guru’s made money in the vast majority of cases they wouldn’t need clients.

Some are good and genuine, but that’s probably less than 1%.

If you want to follow one, you need to understand what they are doing, have total confidence in their method and see a real time track record of success.

You then need the confidence to follow their method with discipline.

    2. You need a method you understand and know why it makes money

This means in most cases means deriving your method on your own and trusting it.

You need to trade it through losses and know you will end up a winner longer term and remember, all methods have long periods where they lose.

To win longer term you need to have total confidence in what you are doing and stick with your method through good times and more importantly, the bad.

If you don’t have discipline, you will fall by the wayside like the vast majority of traders and won’t be able to execute your method.

If you don’t have discipline to trade your method, you have no method at all!

    3. What sets you apart from others?

This is your “edge” the reason you will beat other traders.

If you don’t know what your edge over other traders you will lose.

When you trade in the market you trade against other traders.

It’s a brutal world where only the strong survive and you need to have an advantage and more importantly, know what it is.

An edge in trading can be a number of things, but one thing is for sure:

You need to know what it is and why it allows you to take on and beat the vast majority of other traders.

Common traits of traders with an edge are:

They understand everything about the market:

How it moves and why and they have built a method themselves that suits their personality.

They then have total confidence in their method and can apply it with discipline to preserve and make them money.

If you want to win you need to do the same.

In conclusion, if you don’t know what your edge is, forget FOREX trading and do something else with your money or you will lose it all.

Forex Training- How To Use A Mini Account For Maximum Effect

    Author: Michael A. Jones

For the absolute beginner, Forex training can take some years. During this time many novice traders stay with a free demo account from an online broker determined to make consistent profits in the demo account before going 'live' with hard earned cash.

That approach is certainly cautious and wise. At some point however, it can be advantageous to switch to a mini account, to speed up the learning curve.

Why Switch From Demo To Mini

    The reason is this:

No matter how disciplined you are and no matter how seriously you treat a demo account constantly trying to imagine you are trading with real money, a demo account is still a demo account! That has a huge psychological overhead whether you care to admit it or not.

Once you start trading with real money you will realize how different the real world is! But how can you minimize the cost of Forex training and be reasonable in how much you spend on your education?

Enter the mini account! With a pip valued at a dollar or less, and with a minimum opening balance of around 250 to 300 dollars, you can continue your Forex training with low risk.

Notice that expression "continue your Forex training." Yes, a mini account is still a practice account. That is a good way to view it. What if you open one for 250 dollars and a couple of months later it's exceeded the margin call (blown in other words)? Then your Forex education has just cost you a little less than 250 dollars (taking into account the small remaining balance).

Obviously you wouldn't want to do this many times. It could be after blowing a mini account you decide to go back again for a couple of weeks to the demo and fine tune your strategy. Then when you feel confident again, fund your mini with another one or two hundred dollars.

Some may object and think this is a waste. Putting it in perspective, the cost is very small. After all, it's the cost of your Forex training education. Some persons spend thousands of dollars for a couple of days in a seminar and think nothing of it. One new trader I heard talking to another was asked how much he put in his first account. His reply? "$15,000". It was gone in a couple of months.

A cautious, one step at a time, $100 at a time approach will be far less stressful on both the nerves and the pocket unless you've got money to throw at the wall.

How To Maximize The Mini Account

Now once you have traded successfully in a mini account, bringing the balance up, perhaps doubling or tripling your initial starting balance, you can now really start to maximize the benefits of a mini account.

    How?

While strict risk management is crucial, and somewhere between 1 to 2% of your equity should be the maximum risk on any one trade, some Forex training educators suggest making that more like 5 to 10 % when you only have a few hundred in your mini account. This will allow you to start trading in multiple lots.

For example, suppose you build your mini account to $600 and then start to trade with 2 lots. You then set a conservative profit target for the first lot, and a more ambitious profit target for the second lot. As you take your first profit you move your stop up to protect the second lot so you are at least in a 'can't lose' trade from there on.

If the balance drops below $600 then go back to trading one lot until you pass the threshold again.

Once you start trading multiple lots in a mini account using this safety net strategy, your account will begin to grow slowly and steadily.

At some future time, perhaps once you have reached a couple of thousand dollars in your account, you may wish to then implement more stringent risk management principles and go to 1 to 2% of your equity on any one trade.

    In Conclusion

This approach may not be appreciated by everyone. It depends on your nature and character. For me, it has helped greatly.

To really start moving forward in your Forex training it is necessary to move from a demo to a mini account at the right time. At the same time it is necessary to get over the fear of trading live.

View the mini account as a Forex training account, fund it very conservatively, switch back to a demo when you feel the need, and aim for raising your balance so you have enough equity to start trading multiple lots.

In this way you can maximize a mini account so it really drives your Forex training to completion.

FOREX Software: A Critical Element for Success

    Author: default@goarticles.com (Steve Welker)

In most cases when you sign up with a FOREX broker they will provide you with software to execute transactions as well as get market information. Since online trading has been around for quite some time now, the brokers have a pretty solid understanding of what the traders need from trading software. There are two primary classifications of software provided by the brokers; web based and client based.

One of the mandatory services needed by all FOREX software is real time market updates. Since the FOREX market is so fast paced and volatile traders must have data that is accurate to a few seconds to make decisions on when to enter and exit their positions. All brokers make claims that their software will remain updated with a minimum of delay but the reality is that there are a variety of factors that can delay the software displaying updated information.

The users internet connection speed as well as their geographical distance from the broker are probably the two primary issues that can affect the update time. If you wish to be successful trading FOREX it is highly recommended that you have a high speed internet connection and a fairly up to date computer. You might also consider selecting a broker relatively close to you; if you are trading from the US you might want to avoid a broker based out of Australia. During times of extreme market volatility this distance could cause a delay significant enough to cause issues with your trades.

    Web Based or Client Based?

Web Based software is not actually installed on your computer it runs on the brokers web site. You only need to have a browser compatible with the software to access and use this software. Client based software is loaded directly on your computer; in most cases you are able to download the software from the brokers site and then install it. Web based software is rapidly growing in popularity as more and more brokers offer it. The primary advantages to web based software are convenience and security. With web based software you can log in to your account and get market updates and place trades from any computer with an internet connection. If you use client based software you are only able to make trades from the computer that you have the software installed on.

As well as being more convenient web based software also offers a higher level of security. During the actual transmission of data both web based and client based software encrypt the transmitted data with a high level encryption. On client software though there is the risk of data being stolen from the client pc by hackers or Trojans.

The most basic software packages will provide you with real time quotes and information as well as allowing you to enter and execute trades. Up to date quotes are provided for most currency pairs and the software will allow you to open or close a position at market prices. The software should also allow you to set up trades with limit orders and stop loss orders. More advanced packages will also offer charting capability that can show you many different viewpoints.

Any good broker will provide you with basic software free of charge just for using them as your broker. Many of your better brokers will offer an advanced version of their software for a fee. The advanced version will give you extra capabilities such as executing trades right from the chart and enhanced analytical ability.

The Best Form Of Forex Training

    Author: IPRWire Staff Writer

It would be foolhardy to jump directly into Forex trading without first completing some form of Forex training. While a strictly hands on education is possible, it can be extremely possible during those first few trades. This is especially true of those who have absolutely no knowledge. Knowledge really is power, especially in the case of making a profit from the Forex industry. In order to gain and take advantage of this power it is necessary for traders to learn many aspects of Forex trading.

Because there is such a barrage of information associated with the Forex market, one of the most difficult aspects of learning the Forex market is determining which information is relevant. In the case of Forex trading, relevant data is that which would seem to point towards or against a movement in currency prices.

Armed with just a single piece of useful information, traders already have the beginning of a trading strategy or a trading system. It will usually be necessary to refine information even further through the use of more data and more analysis but eventually students will be left with indicators that point to a particular movement. These indicators will be the basis of any trades initially completed.

When conducting Forex training it is important to remember that even the most successful traders suffer short-term losses. The key is to make a profit over the long term. Using any form of analysis and any available data at their disposal traders will try to find any indicator that gives them a leading edge over the rest of the market.

True profit is only generated if a trader can beat the rest of the market to a particular trade. Once the market cottons on to a movement in prices many more traders inexperienced in this area of data will also try to take advantage by milking out a few more dollars from the trade.

Forex training teaches traders to start a position at the appropriate time but, equally important, to close that trade at the right time. Inexperience can lead some traders to selling too early or holding on to currency for too long. Either of these can eat into the potential hard earned profits already gained.

Practice accounts combined with a Forex training course is the most potent method of learning to trade the Forex. The hands on experience that a real account provides combined with the background knowledge that can be taken from industry experts leaves virtually no stone unturned in the hunt for Forex profits.

For information pertaining to various forms of Forex training visit the http://www.forextradereducation.com website. It contains various tutorials ranging from basic but invaluable information to some of the key fundamentals and charting procedures involved in Forex trading. The Forex Trader Education website also offers traders the analysis software called VantagePoint, among the most powerful software applications available to Forex traders because of its proven 80% accurate forecasts.

Online Forex Trading - To Make Huge Gains You Must Master 1 Key Problem

    Author: Sacha Tarkovsky

Online forex trading looks easy yet few succeed and the bulk of novice traders over 90% wipe out their equity quickly.

Whilst there are many reasons novice traders lose this is the one that wipes out most.

If you don’t overcome this problem you will get wiped out too.

    The major problem is:

    Dealing with volatility

Many novice traders are more often than not right about market direction, but get stopped out constantly and lose as they cant deal with volatility.

You must find a way to deal with volatility to win at online forex trading.

Make sure that you take calculated risks that mean you can keep losses small when they occur and stay in the trends.

This is much more difficult than most traders think, so lets give some advice on how to deal with it.

    1. Don’t day trade

One of the biggest myths of online forex trading is that day trading works – It doesn’t!

    Why?

Because daily volatility is totally random and you are trading off support and resistance levels that mean nothing.

There are many day trading systems sold but they don’t make money – ask for the real time track record of profits and you are met with a deafening silence.

Day trading is a mugs game and a guaranteed way to lose, don’t fall for the hype or you will lose your money.

    2. Use breakouts

Perhaps the best way to trade is using breakouts of significant resistance or support.

When the breakout occurs go with it – its that simple and place your stop below the breakout point.

    Most traders cannot do this.

    Why?

Because they want to “buy low and sell high” they wait for the pullback to get in at a better price and of course it never comes.

The fact is that most major moves start from new market highs NOT market lows.

While the stop might have to be a bit wider on a breakout the odds of success are very high.

    3. Trailing stops

Most traders are obsessed with locking in some profit and move their stop up as quickly as possible, but this is a guaranteed way to get stopped out.

Then they sit and watch the trade they were in make $10,000 or more and their not in.

Fact is if you want to stay with the big trends don’t trail stops up to quickly

Forex trading involves taking a risk. If you become obsessed with having stops to close or trailing them you will create risk and guarantee you will get stopped out.

    4. Trade with momentum

Another error traders make is not trading with momentum indicators they simply enter above support or below resistance and “hope” it holds.

They think that as its close to resistance or support their stop can be close – Yes it can but odds of being stopped out are high.

This goes totally against trading with the trend.

To trade properly you need to get some evidence of a reversal in price and then trade.

Sure, your stop has to be a bit wider but the odds are more in your favour.

    Final words

Novice traders try so hard to avoid risk they create it for themselves.

To trade online forex you need to take calculated risks on trades that have high odds of going the way you predict.

This means placing your stop further away and not trailing it to quick.

On paper you have wider stops and more risk – In reality you are trading the odds and have far more chance of making big profits.

It's A Shame For You Not To Trade Forex - When These People Do It So Easily

    Author: Peter Lim

Do you know that among all the financial trading markets in the world, the largest market is not the stock market, but is the forex market? Despite this, many people are wary of trading in forex because of the misconceptions that abound regarding forex trading.

3 Main Misconceptions about Forex Trading
    -------------------------------------------------

    1. Forex trading is unduly risky: Many people are wary of forex trading. They feel that it is very risky to trade in forex. It is correct to say that forex trading, like any other trading activity, carries risk. However the risk can be reduced by acquiring the suitable trading skills and by using the correct software, just like a specialist medical surgeon gets to a high calibre by way of acquiring the required skills and by using the best high-technological and updated surgical tools and instruments. There is no more risk on trading forex than which is common to any other financial instrument when you gain the proper skills and experience.

    2. Forex trading can only be done by big time institutions: This is simply a wrong understanding of forex trading. Gone are the days when big time banking institutions can only trade the currency and forex markets. You can now trade forex with as little as $25 leveraging on your margin account.

    3. Forex trading utilises expensive trading software: Nowadays, you can avail yourself to free trading software that constitutes the trading platform and also charting interface provided online by forex brokers.Opening an account with an established broker will allow you to access powerful charting software free of charge.

2 Types of Technical Forex Traders
    -----------------------------------------

In contrast, in today's financial world, there exists a great number of people who are trading the forex and making profits from their trades. Indeed, the forex market is now open to all individuals who are trading from the comfort of their own home, 24 hours a day as the forex market is always open. Trading online and using the free charting and trading interface of the forex brokers, many traders are now using technical analysis and charting methods to day trade and to swing trade forex, depending on their own personal circumstances.

Among these profitable technical traders are what I would broadly classify into two main groups of technical forex traders - those who use various technical indicators such as bollinger bands, stochastics, RSI, momentum indicators, trendlines, CCI etc , and another group who uses charts with only only price action and time price analysis, notably computing the price levels or studying the price patterns and behavior arising from the price patterns and time, with NO indicators at all.

If you are seeking an alternative source of income or a replacement income to your day job, consider trading forex...but remember to consider that as your business, and like any other business, forex trading must not be entered lightly. It requires your commitment to learn how to trade, to become successful and profitable and to create that consistent income for a living.

How The Matrix Will Boost Your Forex Profits?

Author: Perhaps you remember one of the most impactful movies of our time, the Matrix? Morpheus believed to

Perhaps you remember one of the most impactful movies of our time, the Matrix? Morpheus believed totally in Neo to the point where he almost sacrificed his life to save him. Yet Neo did not believe in himself at the beginning, he was most uncertain about whether he was the One or not. So when he went to see the Oracle, she told him that being the One is like being in love, nobody tells you that you are in love, you just know it. The Oracle pointed to a sign hanging on the door: "Know Thyself"...

Still Neo didn't believe in himself but when agent Smith captured Morpheus and a member of his crew suggested to pull the plug so the agents of the Matrix won't get access to Zion, something in Neo changed and he began to believe...

A little further down the path of the One, Neo "accomplished miracles" because he learned how to believe in himself fully and completely. And remember Neo had a mentor who believed in him beyond any doubt and who taught him how to use his mind to defeat the Matrix and its dangerous agents. Neo's mentor, Morpheus, showed him the path and helped him empower his mind, yet Neo walked the path to his own success after he started believing in himself and mastered his own mind.

Perhaps you were wondering, yes and what has this to do with trading the Forex market?

    "Know Thyself"

Forex trading or any trading for that matter is a mind game in the first place. Some people spend a lot of time and efforts perfecting certain trading skills and knowledge like reading the charts and data, entry and exit skills but any normally intelligent person can learn these skills, they are the easiest part of the trading game. They are no doubt necessary tools to your Forex success but they don't make the biggest difference between a really successful Forex trader and the one who is not successful. So what does make the difference?

Let's ask the question: what is your goal in trading the Forex? It is to make money. Period! Surely while you're making the money and great profits you can have fun too and you should but what you need are specific mental attitudes and strengths, that is if you want to be a successful Forex trader. These mental states are an asset that will help you in many other situations and contexts of your life.

As my Forex mentor told me, the major three mental and emotional frames of mind that characterize the majority of successful FOREX traders are:

    1.Discipline & Passion 2.Confidence & Courage 3.Patience & Smart Persistence

We'll touch upon all three briefly to make it as clear as crystal to you so you succeed in the Forex market.

Like trading a Pair of Currencies these mental and emotional mindsets go hand in hand.

    Discipline & Passion

Discipline, say the most successful Forex traders, is really important! It helps you be more effective in planning your trades and in sticking to the good plans you established before entering the trade. Always have an action plan for stop and limit levels for the trade before you enter it, your analysis should cover up the expected upside and downside.

Passion means commitment and love for what you do. It is your passion for something that keeps you going, improving, constantly learning (willing to buy excellent Forex courses from experienced and successful traders, remember Morpheus mentoring Neo) and persist beyond the ups and downs of the business. You need to know why you are trading the Forex because it is an awesome opportunity that you have to take, so develop a passion for it. Simply do what it takes to be successful, learn from the best.

A word of Caution: Never mistake your "Forex passion" for emotion that you might feel while trading the Forex, when trying to enter a trade without using clear and sound entry/exit indicators and rules. Have fun, learn, and stay tuned for future developments and grow as a person in strength and character in "your Forex business" while remaining emotionally detached when you get in and out of a trade. If you do, you are bound to incredible success in the Forex trading business.

    Confidence & Courage

Successful Forex traders believe in themselves and their abilities to learn and grow, to acquire more competence learning from a mentor. There is no reality only perception, the Matrix can trick you but you can have your own special Matrix inside your mind that empowers you with an unwavering belief in yourself!

Have the confidence and courage to stick to your plan and stay with your rules even if others are doing the opposite. Keep your vision (end result) that you can make it in the Forex market in your mind until you are successful in it.

If you experience a situation where you know exactly how a currency pair will go and have a sound trading plan, go for it! Sometimes people fail to follow their own good plans because all sorts of emotions get in their way, emotions like greed and fear. Stay calm and act with confidence and courage otherwise your planning, analyzing and information gathering will be totally useless to you.

You become more competent when you educate yourself about the markets and learn from successful traders. Self develop: "Know Thyself", get into the habit of monitoring your emotions and questioning your limiting beliefs so that your mind works for you and not against you. Don't take things too personally, if you make a mistake then consider it to be valuable feedback so you become more successful, never a failure!

    Patience & Smart Persistence

An Indian wisdom says: "Life is always right!" we say: "the market knows much better than you do!"

Learn to listen and read the signs the Forex market is giving you. Learn how to wait, observe and only enter a trade when it is the right time to do so, before you can reap the profits.

It can be hard to wait before your Forex trading screen and not jump into action but The successful FOREX trader will enter a trade according to the direction of the prevailing trend or will wait until a new trend shows up and establishes itself. The waiting ranges from a few hours to days or even weeks before a winning trend appears.

even if you day trade and are not a long-term or position trader, you still are well advised to keep impatience from ruining your profit chances. Also be patient means you stick with winning trades. But be most impatient with losing trades.

Practice "Know Thyself" and continue learning your Forex trading from the best and we are sure you will be a successful Forex trader. You will be on the path of Neo, the One himself!
